Big Jack O’Lantern Contest at the North Pole
As Elf Trixie reported the other day the first deliveries of fresh pumpkin have arrived at the North Pole. This delivery includes a huge load of carving pumpkins.
Elves everywhere at the North Pole are headed out to “pumpkin patches” that are being set up. They will be selecting their pumpkins to carve for the big Jack O Lantern contest just introduced at the North Pole.
This is a new tradition introduced by the Halloween Committee, who is trying to get the Elf Community at the North Pole to do some other things besides the big Halloween costume contest and the Annual Food Fight at the North Pole Halloween Party.
When Mrs. Claus announced this contest it was at first received with less than great enthusiasm. But Elf Tuffy, who works in Santa’s workshop in the electrical department, shared a video this week of a pumpkin he carved and decorated. He included a set of orange and purple lights plus an electronic voice box powered by AI. If you talk to his pumpkin, it lights ups up and talks back to you.
Tuffy says his pumpkin – which he says is a girl he’s named Jackie – is very smart and can answer any question you ask it. Rumor has it that local kids at North Pole High have been using Jackie to resolve homework assignments.
Tuffy’s video and the success he’s had with Jackie are inspiring elves at the North Pole to get into to the pumpkin carving tradition.
