North Pole Flight Command announced yesterday that the test pilots, reindeer and flight engineers associated with the test flights of Santa’s sleigh will be taking a break for Halloween through next weekend.

North Pole Prepares for Halloween

That means they will be coming home to a North Pole that looks very different than when they left.

Everywhere you look it’s Halloween at the North Pole. All the street lamps have pumpkin heads on them. Elves everywhere are carving Jack o’lanterns, which is something new for us here at the North Pole. We’re wondering what the results of our new little contest will be.

Of course, we do have our traditional costume contest and elves everywhere are working in secret and waiting for the big reveal. They will roll out the orange carpet for the party on Thursday morning.

The big party on Halloween night will be for everyone. Even Santa and Mrs. Claus will be there. I wonder what their costumes will be this year?

We will, of course, provide news coverage for you so that you hear the whole thing. For more information about Halloween at the North Pole, please listen to the North Pole Radio News report in the player above.

Thank you, Elf Harold! Will you join the party, too? I’m curious what costumes you, Elf Crash, the engineers, flight command, and other elves wear! I hope Santa and Mrs. Claus will wear Belle and The Beast (Beauty and Beauty)! I wish tracker elves could join the party! Elf Frank, I look forward to hearing about who wins the pumpkin contest and the food fight, including Elf Crash’s and other unique costumes! Happy Halloween and Merry Christmas! XD
