Elf Rusty Belz is the original voice of North Pole Radio News.
Discovered by Santa who would listen to “the golden tones” of Rusty Belz on WHAK in West Virgina, USA it would take many years for Santa to convince Rusty to come work at North Pole Radio News.
But when Rusty could see that the world was starved for news of Santa on Christmas Eve he came with a plan to broadcast.
That was the beginning of the Tracking Santa Around the World Radio Show that originally was anchored by Elf Rusty Belz alone – all 50 hours of it, starting every December 23rd.
After a well deserved rest after every Christmas radio show, Elf Rusty would anchor the North Pole Daily Report on Kringle Radio starting January 1st of every year.
In time Rusty hired other radio talent and developed the team of news reporters we now showcase on North Pole Radio News.
In 2021, Elf Rusty Belz retired from active reporting. He still serves in the North Pole Radio News Department as a senior advisor and occasionally is known to “pop-in” during the annual Christmas Eve broadcast.
Elf Rusty lives at the North Pole Senior Center with his wife, Cathi, and sings in the Elf Choir (bass, of course). Rusty is known for his sense of humor, he adoption of every accent he hears and a weakness for cheesecake, granddaughters, and little dogs.
