Mail Arrives at North Pole Post Office in Record Amounts

I stopped by the North Pole mail room this morning on my daily walk around town. I couldn’t believe what I saw when I opened the door. There where mail bags piled everywhere. I tracked down Elf Hugo to see what was going on.

“I don’t know what caused this upsurge” Elf Hugo said. “The letters just started coming in last night and they haven’t stopped. I have seen more letters come in today than I have on any other day in the last 20 years. Kids that would normally send stocking mail are sending their letters through the post office. I don’t know what we are going to do. Even with the extra staff and sorting tables we added this year it will take us days of working around the clock to get all of these letters sorted and filed under the correct city of origin. I hope Mrs. Claus has a lot of sugar cookies made up because we’re going to need them.”

In other news Elf Dr. Spock reports that all elves have now received their shots of vitamin D and that no cases of the Bah Hum Bug Virus have been reported but they are on a constant lookout for any signs that an outbreak may be starting.
