38 Weeks Until Christmas
Hello, friends! There are 38 weeks until Christmas and I sure hope we get our act together soon.
Remember that big Internet project I was telling you about last month? Well, it’s still going on. And it has made life really difficult here at the North Pole.
And not just with updating the countdown and all the other online stuff we do at the North Pole.
Just communicating with the world has been hard.
That has interrupted our supplies of stuff we need. Important stuff. Like toilet paper.
Yeah, we don’t make our own toilet paper at the North Pole. We have to bring it in from other places. When you can’t tell them you need toilet paper, it doesn’t show up.
We have grown short on many things needed for both work and life at the North Pole.
In Santa’s workshop, where we use a lot of glue, we’ve run out. That means some toys have not been made for a while.
In our kitchens we are missing critical food stuff. Milk. Butter. All kinds of meat.
Yes, we’re not starving. But food choices have been pretty boring lately.
But I’m told it is getting better. And we are hanging in there just fine. We had a few scary days where we had no power and there was a blizzard raging outside. Yes, you even need Internet for power these days, I guess, and so it was cold and dark and everything was run by candles and flashlights.
But the North Pole is better prepared than any other place in the world for an emergency. Everyone is well, nobody got hurt and we’re all going to be okay.
As for things going on for Christmas, well, we’re going to need a few days to get caught back up.
But I’m told that won’t be any big deal.
We’re hoping for a change of season here real soon. Winter is getting old. Of course, we’re at the North Pole, so winter can show up at any time.
But if there’s one lesson in celebrating Easter its that a new season always comes.
We look forward to that.

I am glad to hear that you are all doing well despite the difficulties!
Thank you, Elf Trixie! I hope the North Pole Village is getting better now. How hard that you all spent days there except power. Stay warm and safe! I hope the internet project is going well and you can find a little spring there. ^^
