Raging Blizzard Strikes the North Pole
The North Pole has been dealing with a raging blizzard that threatens to affect Thanksgiving celebrations later this week.
Snow has been falling for weeks but high winds settled in over the weekend turning the winter wonderland of North Pole Village into a glazed ice rink that is difficult for living there. Shops have closed, businesses have suspended operations and movement altogether has stopped as white-out conditions have taken over.
According to Elf Seymour Snow, head elf of the Weather department at North Pole Flight Command, the blizzard conditions began Saturday night and have not let up. His forecast suggests these conditions may persist for weeks.
Officials right now are evaluating the wisdom of continuing with plans for the Thanksgiving Day Elf Parade, the annual Turkey Bowl football game, and the traditional walkabout with Santa to look at village Christmas lights.
While nothing official has been announced many are concerned about even whether the final phase of Operation Merry Christmas will launch on time at the end of the week.
This is a developing story. For more information please listen to the North Pole Radio News report in the player above.

Be safe and careful out there all the Elf’s and the Clauses.
oh nooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you, Elf Harold. Ice on the roads is so dangerous. I pray that the breeze will stop and the ice will melt as soon as possible. I remember they had the parade and Santa’s walkabout under breezing weather at the village in recent years, so I hope they can figure it out. Please stay warm and safe! Happy Thanksgiving, and Merry Christmas! XD
Keeping my fingers crossed that everything works out for the best. I know how disappointing it is when the plans you have worked so hard on don’t work out. But keeping everyone and the reindeer safe is ithe most important thing after all. Stay inside, stay warm, stay safe and at least enjoy the beautiful views that snow brings. Where I’m from in the USA we hardly ever get snow but when we do it’s a beautiful treat. Happy Thanksgiving ❤️
(I wanted to say “blizzard,” not “breeze”! Thank you for understanding my poor English. XD)
Omg I hope you are ok
