Santa Leaves the North Pole After Halloween Party
Santa and Mrs. Claus stole the show at the North Pole Halloween Party. Dressed as Batman and Robin, they made a late entrance to the party when Santa descended from the rafters high above the venue, tossing Halloween candy to surprised party goers as he came down on a zipline.
While he had on the Batman mask and wore the famous Batman cape everyone somehow knew it was Santa. Of course, instead of seeing Batman’s famous bare chin they saw Santa’s long white whiskers.
Santa and Mrs. Claus also had Batman-themed food items to employ in the traditional North Pole Halloween Party food fight. While Santa tossed “Batman cream cupcakes” Mrs. Claus threw “Robin’s Eggs”, both messy sweets filled with cream and sugar that made a splash whenever they hit a target.
After the crowd expended all their food missiles and the food fight was over, Santa-Batman led the clean-up effort.
The North Pole Halloween Party was a huge success. The annual costume contest was won this year by Elf Pauline, a technician in the Sleigh Bell Department who made a glittering Princess gown made up of 64,000 tiny LED lights. She literally glowed and caused a sensation.
The new contest this year – the Jack O’Lantern contest – was won by Elf Larry Wing, a metal fabricator in Santa’s workshop. Using a re-engineered laser cutter Elf Larry carved a pumpkin featuring Santa in his sleigh. Tracker elves can see a photo of the prize pumpkin at SantaTrackers.net (elves only).
Party goers were happy and satisfied with the fun events from the entire evening.
Just as they were preparing to leave the venue, Santa asked them to wait while he made an announcement.
Santa then pointed to a window outside, where he sleigh was now parked and the reindeer at the ready. He thanked all the elves and their families for their hard work on Operation Merry Christmas so far and that he was leaving – then and there, still dressed as Batman – for his annual trek to visit with children.
Santa explained he wanted to be ready first thing in the morning to begin visiting children. Every year, right after Halloween is over, Santa starts the long season of visiting with believers all over the world one-by-one. Up until just a few hours before he launches Santa plans to fill as much of his time up with these one-on-one meetings as he can.
