Santa Names His Starting Team of Reindeer

Santa Claus, by tradition on this date each year, has named his starting team of nine reindeer. They are, as expected:

  1. Rudolph
  2. Dasher
  3. Dancer
  4. Prancer
  5. Vixen
  6. Comet
  7. Cupid
  8. Donner
  9. Blitzen

All of Santa’s reindeer are healthy and ready to go. Rudolph did make some headlines yesterday due to a recent procedure he had to install halogen lamps in his nose. There was some outcry about that.

Santa also has a back-up team that awaits in case of emergency. We do not often hear about them:

1. Edison
2. Bruno
3. Francisco
4. Princess
5. Diva
6. Gomer
7. Chip
8. Pokey
9. Thor
