Vixen Surprises Again

Vixen took to the skies in competition today in an event she traditionally never does well in – the running launch event.
She scored an incredible total of 53 points – the highest in history – with her record launch velocity of 172.06 mph. That powered her altitude at the 10-second mark at an incredible 284 feet, a new record.
Even more impressive is the fact that in her heat she was up against Blitzen, Donner, Comet and Cupid, an incredibly talented and competitive field.
Vixen’s performance inspired a spontaneous and instant standing ovation from the crowd and the judges. Mrs. Claus was also in attendance for the event.
Vixen is the talk of the Reindeer Games. She has surprised both days so far. She is light on her feet but seriously focused on performing well. She is not interacting with anyone other than her trainer, which is a bit unusual for Vixen. She is often thought of as a spunky reindeer who likes to socialize, but she’s all business for these games.
On another note, she’s been isolated by her trainers, which is something she has never done before. She is not interacting with the other reindeer. Santa did pay her a visit today when the doctors were checking her out after the race. Santa said Vixen is in good spirits but “has her own thoughts about why these Reindeer Games are important this year”.
I asked Santa to explain more what he meant by that but he said that in respect for Vixen’s privacy he would say no more.
Vixen is expected to compete tomorrow in a pulling event, which traditionally favors the larger reindeer like Blitzen and Donner.

Thank you, Elf Harold! I’m glad to hear about the contents of the games! Wow, I also didn’t know why Vixen was in Norway. She’s so gentle. I’m glad her mom can see the reindeer games, and she can show her mom motivation to do well and bravery then. It’s the precious time for each other. I hope her mom feels better now and enjoys seeing the reindeer games with Santa. Oh, her mom is a very famous reindeer! I want to greet her someday. Thank you, Elf Frank and Elf Crash. I can’t take my eyes off the games,… Read more »
