10 Weeks Until Christmas
Hi friends! Today marks ten weeks until Christmas and we have much to celebrate at this time.
Santa and Mrs. Claus have returned home from their Thanksgiving celebrations in Canada. Santa said the pumpkin pie was first rate and the eggnog was even better.
Their return, the arrival of bunches of new snow and the coming of the Reindeer Games this week has put a lot of festivity in the air. It feels like Christmas.
The Reindeer Games this year feel like a bigger deal than usual. I think it is because it is October and most elves are being given at least a day off to watch the games. In years past when the games were held around or just after Thanksgiving many elves could only hear results of the games on Kringle Radio. That is just too busy of a time for elves to take off from their jobs.
But October is different.
One elf today told me she feels that the early reindeer games is taking the focus off of Halloween and the festivities we usually plan for fall. I understand where she is coming from but the Reindeer Games will be done far in advance of Halloween this year. We’ll get to that.
As for me, I’m planning to enjoy them.
I wish my reindeer, Trixie, could be in the games but she and all the other reindeer assigned to the test flight team of Santa’s sleigh are doing important work that must not stop. She wants to be in the games one day and I hope she will.
In the meantime, there’s a young reindeer at this year’s games that Elf Crash Murphy told us about that I think a lot of elves are watching, including me. His name is Rodrigo. Not only is he very gifted as an athlete I love his personality. He’s kind of shy, which I think is cute.
But for all his shyness he is very bold as he practices for the games. He has caught the eye of a lot of people and the experts here at the North Pole think he’s going to do well.
Vixen, since she just got back, is also getting a lot of attention. She just looks incredible. She has bulked up in size. I think whatever her injuries were a year ago have healed and that she has been working out a lot. Just watching her walk right now is something. There is a very regal kind of look to her that I never saw before.
It ought to be a fun week! So please be sure to check in often to learn the latest at the North Pole this week.

thank you so much for all the news
Thank you, Elf Trixie! I’m glad Santa and Mrs. Claus enjoy Thanksgiving with pumpkin and eggnog. The reindeer games have started! I cheer all the reindeer, Donner, Blitzen, Vixen, Trixie, Rodrigo, Mighty Mick, Rudloh, etc.! I hope the test flight reindeer can join the games. I wonder if all elves stop their work while watching the games. Stay safe, and Merry Christmas! XD
