The progress of the test flights of Santa’s sleigh can be tracked on the Santa Tracker at SantaUpdate.com. But there are other things being done to get Santa’s sleigh ready for flight.

Sleigh Update

In the Sleigh Bell Department a tedious musical process is underway. The bells are being made to exacting specifications and tuned to certain frequencies. Like the sleigh itself, the bells get tested under all kinds of weather and flight conditions.

Meanwhile, over in the Office of Santa Claus, another process is underway – the collection of name suggestions for Santa’s Sleigh.

The last thing Santa does before taking off on Christmas Eve is to decide on a name for the sleigh.

It is always a girl’s name. (We don’t know what this is, but Santa has always insisted that the sleigh have a girl’s name).

He takes suggestions from believers on what name the sleigh should have. The Office of Santa Claus says that as of today more than a million names have already been submitted.

Many of those names are duplicates.

But plenty of time remains if you want to suggest a name for Santa to consider.

If you listen to North Pole Radio News on Christmas Eve when Santa takes off you can hear who won the sleigh naming contest.

For more information about Santa’s sleigh please listen to the North Pole Radio News report in the player above.

and this is nice for me to keep up to date about this info

Thank you all for the update! I had no idea that military officials get photos and video of Santa’s sleigh each year; I wish I could see some of those photos and videos! Elf Crash, it’s a good thing for your safety that you announce your arrival as well!

My name suggestion would be Hollyberry. Don’t know anyone named that but it is a pretty name and appropriate for Christmas.

hi santa thank for the news update bye.

hi santa i cant wait till christmas please get your sleigh runing!!!!!!!

thanks

Thank you, Elf Harold! Wow, there is a lot of information! I didn’t know the bells are made to tune to certain frequencies and tested in different weather conditions, so they are okay even in windy weather. I’m curious what name for Sant’s sleigh was sent the most! Thank you, Elves Frank and Crash! Oh, version 6 is coming soon! I heard the test flights are black, which is different from Santa’s, so we can recognize which is Santa’s sleigh! I hope we could also see Elf Crash’s tracking Santa on Christmas! XD Happy Thanksgiving, and Merry Christmas! XD
