5 Months Until Christmas
Hi everyone – today marks just 5 months until Christmas. Can you believe it?
Christmas in July is peaking this week and the feeling here is palpable. For those of us at the North Pole it means summer is quickly coming to a close. Vacation season for elves is over.
It’s kinda funny. Last night at the midnight Concert in the Park, featuring the Elf Choir and the Jingle Boy Singers, it was dark when they were up there performing. You could tell all the key elves there in charge of stuff because they kept checking their phones.
That’s kind of how we feel as vacation season winds down. We’re anxious to really put our foot on the gas for Christmas.
Christmas in July is fun but it does one really important thing for an elf: it motivates us to work hard. Funny how something fun can do that.
Santa has done a good job of teaching us elves to play hard and work hard. Those two things go together.
You see, we all know that having spent Christmas in July with lights and decorations and music – and yeah, the eggnog, and the eggnog popsicles, and the eggnog cranberry slushies, and the eggnog ice cream, and the eggnog cake, and the eggnog candies, and the eggnog pancakes, and the eggnog muffins, and the eggnog creamies, and the eggnog cookies, and the eggnog gum, and the eggnog taffy, and the eggnog-flavored bottled water, and the eggnog lollipops, and all the other eggnog goodies – we’re pretty steeped in the Christmas spirit.
And getting all fired up while we play is like putting gas in our tanks for when we need to get down to work.
Trust me: the effort of Operation Merry Christmas is well in hand. At least for now. Every department, from Santa’s Workshop to the Post Office, is ahead of plan.
Staffing is good. Supplies are stockpiled. We just need to get down to work this next month, get the reindeer back home, get the sleigh test flown and prepared for Santa, get the kids back in school, and get Halloween and Thanksgiving celebrated, and we’ll be there by flight time.
Everything is working.
It’s a good time to be an elf.
Til next month, friends. Keep countin’ down those days to Christmas!

Thank you, Elf Ernest! Happy Christmas in July! I enjoyed listening to Kringle Radio with the reports from last Christmas! Aww, I’m so excited to know about the eggnog sweets and goodies! Having eggnog is one of my dreams; I want to try all of them someday and feel the Christmas spirit more through them! Yes, all elves are getting busy. It’s my pleasure to work with them for Santa! I’ll try my best this year, too. Let’s have fun together! XD
My summer is basically over because of work once we hit August, but the funny thing is I start thinking about Christmas as a result. I don’t start shopping until September but Christmas is the end goal of this stretch of work over the next four months. It will go fast!! Always does!

It just seems like we just celebrated Christmas with our family and friends last year and here we are now fixing to.do it again in a few months. I hope that Santa can give us some magic even when we’re not celebrating it as much as we use to be. My birthday is on Saturday December14th and I’ll be 28 years old. Hope it will be a blast!, Hope I can find me true love with a man or a woman in my life now im.a grown up.
