Last month at this time we were reporting on the Reindeer games and getting exciting news about Vixen and her championship performance in the games.

Reindeer

But what have the reindeer been up to since those games adjourned and how ready are they for Christmas?

I checked in with Elf Victor, head elf of the Reindeer Operations Department at the North Pole, who reports that all of Santa’s reindeer are in fine health and anxious to fly for Santa this Christmas.

There are thousands of reindeer at the North Pole, not just the starting 9 reindeer you know about.

Most of the reindeer besides Santa’s main team will participate in something called Operation Airlift.

Operation Airlift is what we call the support effort of Santa’s flights. It consists of hundreds of sleighs, reindeer and pilots who perform thousands of missions on Christmas Eve, and for days before Christmas as well, moving freight, shuttling elf and filling out other transportation projects that will aid Santa.

For more information about the current status of all North Pole reindeer, please listen to the North Pole Radio news report in the player above.

Thank you, Elf Harold! Wow, most reindeer are preparing for Operation Airlift now. Thank you so much to the pilots and reindeer who work for Santa. I hope our tracker elves will work together well with them, too. Thank you, Elf Crash and Elf Frank, for the reindeer report. Merry Christmas! XD
