Hi ho! Just three weeks to go until Christmas!

How about you? Are you ready? Do you have your tree up? Is your stocking hung? How about your Santa tracker map?

Countdown to Christmas

I’ve got my Santa tracker map up already. Last year I was late to the North Pole Christmas Party because I was so engrossed in tracking Santa and listening to the news on Kringle Radio. I got a text from Mrs. Claus asking when I was going to come over and help with the cookies and it was so very late!

It was embarrassing. But when I got there I was thrilled to see that they had a GIANORMOUS map the size of a whole wall up at the Christmas party. I had to stand on a ladder just to mark where Santa had visited in Canada. It was so much fun.

That’s kind of what we’re all talking about already at the North Pole. We’re in good shape and I think everyone knows it. Every department is so super ready. These last weeks of the delivery phase of Operation Merry Christmas are usually a little stressful but not this year. We’re on top of it.

And that makes us anxious to get to the date of Santa’s launch. We’re really, really, really ready.

The reindeer are ready too. North Pole Flight Command said they are sending Santa’s reindeer out to get some work this week. They are practicing somewhere out there doing take offs and landings on real roof tops. I guess they want the practice.

But when poor Comet heard that he didn’t seem happy. Comet is a worker, don’t get me wrong, but I think he had some special pranks lined up for this week and now he’s not going to be able to pull them off.

No, I don’t know what they were. But I know Comet – he’s one of my favorites. Do you know any jolly elves – you know, the type that is always smiling and in a good mood? That’s what Comet is like. He’s very light hearted – always wanting to make people smile and feel good.

That’s always been his personality. I hear he even likes to prank Santa.

Last year, Santa was somewhere in Sector 5 and Comet faked a fainting spell, right there on someone’s roof. Santa just about had a heart attack. He jumped out of the sleigh and ran to Comet’s side and then Comet started laughing.

Then Santa started laughing.

The only one that wasn’t laughing was Donner. For as light hearted as Comet is Donner is just his opposite. He’s always serious. He’s the captain of the Reindeer, so maybe he feels he has to be serious. Santa always calls Donner the leader. Donner likes pranks but NOT on Christmas Eve when Santa is trying to get around the world.
Rumor has it that Donner scolded Comet for that little stunt. He didn’t think it was funny at all.

But Comet took it in good stride. That’s just his way. Nothing ever bothers him, even when he pranks people pretty good.

I love both Comet and Donner for who they are. Well, let’s face it. I love all of Santa’s reindeer because they are cute and fuzzy and so individual.

I want my reindeer, Trixie, to be kind of a mix of Comet and Donner. A little fun, a little serious. I think she is taking more after Donner – she’s very serious these days. She feels so highly honored to be on the test flight team that she works super hard all the time. She’s a good girl.

If you want to have more of an update on the reindeer, listen to the North Pole Radio news report in the player above.

Thank you, Elf Trixie! Wow, Three weeks! I’ll finish preparing this week, but I named my Christmas trees! The test flights are going to finish the test soon! I hope our roof reports help reindeer, too! I’m glad to hear that Operation Merry Christmas is going well! Thank you, Elf Crash and Elf Frank; I agree that Santa’s secret is Santa’s success to be Santa! Merry Christmas! XD
